The magnificent Soweto Gospel Choir performs an inspirational programme of tribal, traditional and popular
African Gospel. Early rhythms, rich harmonies, acapella, and charismatic performance combine to uplift the soul and celebrate the unique spirit of South Africa. Drawing on the very best talent from the many churches and communities in and around Soweto, the choir includes traditional dancers and drummers, plus a four piece band. South Africa music is indeed unique. It has strong roots in traditional music and conveys a powerful spiritual message. The South African Gospel Choir carries forward the rich heritage, celebrating the spirit of South Africa. |

The London African Gospel Choir
|

The London African Gospel Choir was founded in 2003 by London's East African community to promote
the gospel, create a platform for African gospel singers and musicians, and popularise the superb gospel songs that have sprung from Africa. Though the London-African Gospel Choir is young, the high standards that the choir sets have attracted the very best and most experienced singers and musicians. Their debut album was recorded live in London in 2003. Their repertoire includes traditional and original songs from Africa in English and African languages, but also incorporates original interpretations of African-American classics such as "Oh Happy Day". The Choir's live shows range from two-piece à cappella to the full 25 member choir. The dance choreography adds a unique and spectacular element to the performances and shows are adaptable to festivals, weddings, theatres, concerts hall and street events. The choir also provides backing singers for recordings and performances. |

The African Children's Choir

The African Children's Choir is composed of children between seven and twelve years of age who come from
five countries in Africa - Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ghana. Many of them are from very poor backgrounds or are orphans. It is often a struggle to grow or buy enough food to feed a family in Africa and parents have to pay to send their children to school. Many cannot afford these school fees and, as a result, often children do not learn to read and write. The Choir helps to provide the funds necessary to pay these fees securing a brighter future for all of the children the Choir supports. |

LES CHERUBINS GOSPEL CHOIR en s'abandonnant totalement entre les mains de celui qui de tous temps
a su les aimer et les délivrer de l'opression de l'ennemi. Ils sont sensibles aux inspirations bibliques des oeuvres. La musique et le chant, moyens universels de communication entre les hommes, ont réuni les esclaves noirs autour de leurs souffrances mais aussi autour de leur espoir et de leur foi. La souffrance du peuple juif captif en Egypte et l'espoir contenu dans les messages de la Bible étaient de parfaits supports à la compositions des textes des chants Gospel et Spirituals décrivant leur propre situation. Ainsi des textes dans leur intégralité: Moïse et Pharaon, la Bataille de Jéricho... |
